Alumni Dinner 2010

A group of Old Boys travelled to a Marist presence in Port Elizabeth in December 2009 to assist running a Summer School for a week together with three Sisters of Mercy nuns and the Marist Brothers.

Golf Day 2009

The Marist (Old Boys) Association Golf Day was held at Royal Durban Golf Club on Thursday 28th May with a field of 108 players. A great day was had by all with some fantastic prizes being won. Well done to the team!

1987 Rugby Team - 20 Year Reunion

On Thursday May 31st 2007 the 1987 Rugby Team got together in the Association Pub for a few drinks and watched some old videos of their matches. A great evening was had by all.

CLASS 1987 - 20 YEAR REUNION

The Class of 1987 reunion took place from 31st May to 2nd June.

UK OLD BOYS GATHERING

UK based Marist Old Boys had a gathering in London. It was held on Friday 15th June 2007, at Waxy O'Connors, 14 - 16 Rupert Street, Leicester Square, London, W1D 6DD. Roughly 30 old boys attended, ranging from 1984 alumni to 2005 alumni! A great evening was had by all, with loads of fun and laughter, and the odd bit of Marist humour and nonsense!

OLD BOYS DINNER 2008

The Annual Old Boys Dinner was held on FRIDAY 22nd AUGUST and was attended by 170 St Henrys Old Boys - from Class of 1955 to Class of 2007. Thank you to all who participated in this great evening get-together.

Joe Pieri – St Henrys Class of 1958 : receiving his knighthood from Italian Consulate May 2008 An extract from the May 2008 Newsletter of the Italian Consulate in Durban : - Giuseppe Fosco Natale Pieri, (citation) "Giuseppe 'Joe' Pieri is the founder and President of the glorious Societá Sportiva Juventus Club in Durban, that this year turns 35 years of age. It was founded with the aim of gathering all Italians keen on football under common brotherhood of friendship. Under his guidance Juventus Club has become acknowledged and well known in the sporting world at both provincial and national level. Today Juventus Club teams are composed of players whose ages range from children to adults 'over 35' and thanks to the enthusiastic energy of its President has from 2008 promoted the football championship "Coppa Consolato d'Italia" that comprises of a 5-team tournament that has definitely become a focal point of friendship and solidarity that can be ill-afforded to loose". BRAVO Joe!

Class of 1958 - 50th Reunion

Class of 1958 Celebrated their 50th Reunion on Thursday 5th June with a dinner in the Marist Association Hall.

St Henrys Olympic Hope

Archer Calvin Hartley (Class of 2006) recently achieved 1st place in the All Africa Games in Egypt and has qualified to represent South Africa at the Beijing Olympic Games in August 2008. Good Luck Calvin!
