A dinner will be held in Cape Town to mark the Bicentenary of the foundation of the Marist Institute and 150 years of Marist presence in South Africa and Africa.
2017 marks a special and significant year within our international and our local Marist community. This year we celebrate the Bicentenary of the Foundation of the Marist Institute and 150 years of Marist presence in South Africa and Africa. In celebration of these significant milestones, we will be hosting a Marist Old Boys and Alumni Dinner at St Joseph’s Marist College in Cape Town.
As the oldest remaining Marist School in South Africa, St Joseph’s is a fitting venue at which to come together as a community who share a common Marist history and common Marist values to mark this significant year. We are hoping to bring together Marist Old Boys and Alumni from St Joseph’s, St Henry’s, Marist Linmeyer, Sacred Heart, St David’s Marist Inanda as well as from any of the Marist School that have closed in the intervening years. If you know anyone from these Marist Schools that have closed (St Charles Walmer etc.) please extend this invite to them.
